Business Success: Why Commitment is So Important

Business success is largely defined by two things: Commitment and profit producing activities. Here’s why commitment is so critical and it must be in check!

Business SuccessI recently had Army Reserve duty and as I was going about my activities and talking with some of our soldiers, the thought of commitment could not have been stronger.

We have members of our unit just out of basic training and others with over 20 years of service, it’s amazing to see such a mix of soldiers — backgrounds, age, experience, skill-sets, etc. — who step out of their 9 to 5 life and integrate so professionally into our nation’s Army.

So how does military service and business success go together: Commitment.  Just as our service members have made a commitment to country, have you made a commitment to your business?  A real, rock-solid commitment!

Building any type of business from the ground up, especially a home-based business, is not always an easy thing.  So I commend you for being an entrepreneur and stepping up to make it happen!

One of the first steps for business success in a home business is to set your intention in writing and have a conversation with your spouse and/or loved ones.  Let them know what you are doing and why you are doing it.  Building a business is hard work; it will require serious hours and that means time away from family.  Let them know you care about them and you are building this for the long haul; let them know your “why.”

From there, don’t look back!  You will have ups and downs and more reasons to quit than most would care to experience, but that’s just it: Your commitment (if you are SERIOUS) will keep you going.  And you will be compensated handsomely for staying in the game and pushing forward where others will have quit.  I would also check this post for a daily routine which is very important.

Remember, it is your commitment and profit producing activities that will push you towards business success when you are in for the long haul!  Commitment, commitment…and more commitment!

I hope this video helps and I wish you all the best in your business!  If I can help you, please reach out!
