MLM Tips: Why Sorting Works!

One of the biggest MLM tips I could give you is this: Sorting works!  We are looking for who is open and it works every time, here’s how…

Whether you are brand spankin’ new in network marketing or a seasoned vet looking to get things moving, the foundation of what we do is sorting.  We are in the sorting business, not the selling business.  By that I mean sorting in terms of who is simply OPEN.  Let’s think about that…

MLM TipsYou are fired up about your company and your product, you see the value; why wouldn’t someone want to promote your shake (or travel or juice or whatever) and make money!!?  Now you can go out and simply push product and sell all day, it will work.  If you move through enough numbers it can be done, but we are talking a massive amount of numbers.  Another option is simply seeing if your prospects are OPEN.

Think about that, what if you casually (yet postured) asked a friend or contact, “Hey just curious, I’m really having a blast in my home business in fact we just ______ (won a trip, got out first check, attended an event, etc); I have no idea here but thought I’d ask, would ya be open to a side project and generating extra income?”   I also sometimes throw in, “would love to build it with ya, I’m doing it either way so no worries.” You are just curious.  You are doing it with or without them so either way is cool.  See how that works?  In the eyes of your prospect: Comfort level up, tension level down.

 

MLM Tips: More Sorting = More Signups

Now take the tactic of sorting and apply it to your daily routine of reaching out to people.   MLM tips #2:  Do this daily!  The key imlmtipss consistency.  You can’t reach out to 50 people today and no one tomorrow.  There is no continuity to that and it is your daily activities over time that will win the game in network marketing.

Take the pressure off yourself (and your prospect), simply sort and determine if someone is open.  Case in point, I was downsized from Corporate America and it was at that time I was introduced to network marketing.  Had it been just one day prior, I would not have been open and no matter what you said about your product or service or company, I wouldn’t have looked at.

MLM tips #3:  People’s circumstances change.  So if they said no today that does not mean they will say no tomorrow.  I suggest checking in about every 6 months.  I like checking in simply to let them know I just accomplished this _______ (trip, bonus, award, etc.)  That definitely creates curiosity and they just might be open now… 🙂
